Sheikh Hamoudi: Recent parliamentary demonstration is important step towards development of parliamentary performance

During his meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General (SRSG) for Iraq, Mr. George Boston, the First Deputy Speaker Sheikh Dr. Humam Hamoudi remarked that the recent parliamentary demonstration might be a very important step towards the development of government and parliamentary performance.

Sheikh Hamoudi stated: “serious efforts are being made to resolve the current political crisis and move forward to achieve the first package of reform, represented by the cabinet reshuffle and then proceeding with a more comprehensive reform plan”, and expressed hope that Tuesday’s session would include all political parties and conform to the legal and constitutional contexts.
