Sheikh Hamoudi to the Chinese ambassador: Stability of region depends on stability of Iraq

The First Deputy Speaker Sheikh Dr. Humam Hamoudi remarked, “The stability of the region depends on the stability of Iraq and its democratic collapse will negatively affect the security and stability of the entire region”, stressing, “The military forces and voluntary fighters are at the battlefields fighting ISIS and achieving key victories”.

Sheikh Hamoudi stressed, during his meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Iraq Mr. Chen Weiqing, the importance of boosting the economic, commercial and parliamentary relations between the two countries in addition to the unification of efforts against ISIS.

For his part, Mr. Weiqing confirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen trade and economic relations and activate the parliamentary friendship committees between the two countries and unite efforts against terrorism.
