The Speaker, Japanese ambassador stress need for improving the living conditions for Iraqis
The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in on Tuesday the Japanese ambassador to Iraq Mr. Fumio Iwai and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed the displaced people’s situation and the need to bring them back to their liberated areas after being constructed, in addition to the bilateral relations between the two countries and Japan’s major role in the development of Iraqi economy.
The Speaker stressed the importance of improving the living conditions for the Iraqi people through the adoption of laws that would bring about the desired changes and ensure the best interests of the country.
For his part, Mr. Iwai confirmed his country’s support to Iraq, lauding the Iraqi parliament’s role in the reform process and the adoption of important laws that promote the democratic process in the country.
