The Speaker, UK ambassador discuss need for doubling international efforts to liberate Mosul

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in his office on Tuesday October 4, 2016 the UK ambassador to Iraq Mr. Frank Baker.

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two sides, and the latest security and political developments in addition to the efforts made by the international coalition in the war against ISIS and preparations underway to liberate Mosul.

The Speaker called the UN and international community to help Iraq in reconstructing the affected areas and providing necessary supplies for the displaced people. He also expressed his appreciation for UK’s support to Iraq at both military and humanitarian levels.

For his part, Mr. Baker asserted his country’s keenness to provide all kinds of support to Iraq and at all levels
