The Speaker meets head of Basra provincial council and stresses need to address security situation

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in his office on Thursday the head of the provincial council in Basra, Mr. Sabah Al Bazooni.

Al-Bazooni briefed the Speaker on the security and service conditions in the province and the ways and practices that are followed to address the challenges that the province go through.

The Speaker stressed the need for addressing the security issues in the province and the necessity of promoting service conditions, asserting the economic importance of Basra and that its share of the general budget should commensurate with its economic importance.
