The Speaker: Christians are an integrated part of Iraqi community, their rights are reserved like all other components

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in his office on Sunday a delegation of Syriac bishops in the presence of MP Raeed Isaac.

During the meeting, they discussed the overall situation and developments on the local scene as well as the situation of Christians in Iraq. The Speaker stressed that Christians are an integrated part of Iraqi community and their rights are reserved like all other components.

They also discussed the progress of the military operations in Nineveh and victories achieved in Nineveh plains.

Al-Jubouri stressed the need to take advantage of previous experiences and to work on enhancing the social unity in the country that terrorists desperately try to target.
