The Speaker calls for unity to anchor national reconciliation principles

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in his office a delegation of the Italian Community of Sant’Egidio headed by Mr. Andre Trenteri to get acquainted with the community’s efforts in supporting and sponsoring national reconciliation project. The Speaker stressed the need for promoting national reconciliation among Iraqis as a means to lay the foundations of civil coexistence and peace.

The head of the community briefed the Speaker on the community’s plans and efforts with regard to the national reconciliation project as well as its contribution to the provision of humanitarian assistance to the displaced people in the camps.

Al-Jubouri expressed his appreciation for the efforts made to establish civil peace and communal reconciliation among Iraqis and pledged to support the community to achieve its goals in Iraq.
