The Speaker meets Turkish ambassador to Baghdad

The Speaker Dr. Saleem Al-Jubouri received in his office on Wednesday May 17, 2017 the Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Iraq to Mr. Fatih Yildiz.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them, and the latest developments in the political and security situation in Iraq and the region in addition to the international and regional efforts to support Iraq in its war against terrorism.
The Speaker Saleem al-Jubouri stressed the need to mobilize the efforts of all regional and international countries to counter the threat of terrorist organizations that are threatening the region and the world, pointing out that “the next phase requires vigilance and caution to face any scheme that would affect the security and stability of the country.”
Al-Jubouri pointed to “The importance of expanding and deepening relations between the two countries on all fields”, as well as praising the effective support for Turkey in the file of relief for displaced people who have been forced to flee from the oppression of ISIS.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador expressed his country’s support for Iraq in its fight against terrorism and confirmed its readiness to provide all kinds of assistance with regard to the file of displaced, while praising the efforts of the Speaker of Parliament to stabilize the country.
