The Speaker’s media office confirms the return of 700 displaced families to their liberated areas in Diyala

The Speaker’s media office confirmed on Wednesday that the efforts made by the Speaker and parliamentary committees have resulted in the return of new of batch of displaced families to their liberated areas in Diyala governorate. More than 700 displaced families returned to their liberated areas, and the total number of families returning to their areas in Diyala governorate is 26,000, the office said in a statement.

The statement also pointed out that the Speaker appreciates the efforts made to facilitate the return of displaced families to their areas, pointing out the importance of overcoming the ISIS phase through implementation of community reconciliation and spreading the spirit of tolerance among all components of the Iraqi people.
