The Speaker meets delegation of the National Democratic Institute (NDI)

The Speaker Dr. Saleem Al-Jubouri received in his office on Monday the delegation of the National Democratic Institute (NDI). During the meeting, they reviewed the latest political and parliamentary developments in the country by enhancing the prospects for cooperation between the two sides. The Speaker stressed the importance of developing the NDI program in the country, by providing all facilities to benefit from the international expertise in the field of legislation and the development of the parliamentary performance at a commensurate level of responsibility placed on everyone without exception, especially with the of important laws on the way to legislation.
He added that “the next stage requires the mobilization of efforts to improve the performance of government institutions, including parliament as a legislative and regulatory body in the country,” stressing at the same time the need to exchange experiences with international competent organizations through the establishment of training courses because of their positive return to employees.
The visiting delegation also stressed its interest in expanding the cooperation in training the cadres of parliament and other state institutions to ensure the continuous development of the performance and efficiency of its employees.
