The Speaker meets Foreign Affairs Minister of the Palestine

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in his office on Wednesday the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Palestine Mr. Riad Malki.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means of developing them to meet the interest of the two counties in political and economic fields. The Speaker welcomed the visit and wished it to mark the beginning for further cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Jubouri stressed that “Iraq remains committed to its position on the Palestinian issue and calls on all Arab and Islamic countries to support the just cause of the Palestinian people”. He added, “The solution of the Palestinian issue will bring about comprehensive stability to the region as we believe that the challenges that face the region are highly entangled and can only be solved through comprehensive Arab initiatives”.
“The victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against terrorism during the battle of honor is a victory for the whole Arab people, Islam and humanity. We share this victory with all our brothers and friends who supported us and offered us material and moral support. The outcome of this victory will definitely reflect on Iraq, the region and the whole world” the Speaker went on.
He pointed out that “Iraq today is preparing for the post-ISIS era, which is represented by the return of all displaced people to their places of residence and bringing about security and stability and coexistence among all components and reconstructing the liberated areas.
