The Speaker chairs Consultative Meeting of the Islamic Group at the International Parliaments Conference

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri chaired the Consultative Meeting of the Islamic Group which was held in Russia within the works of the International Parliaments Conference. During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing brotherhood and solidarity among Islamic countries and taking unified positions on issues of common concern, most notably the Palestinian issue and the rights of the Palestinian people, the situation in Iraq and ways to deal with the ravages left by ISIS.
The meeting also discussed means of activating trade and economic cooperation among Islamic countries and develop all factors of economic development.
