The Speaker meets his Iranian Counterpart

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met on Sunday his Iranian Counterpart Mr. Ali Larijani on the sidelines of the conference of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU) held in Moscow.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region, and the war against terrorism. The Speaker urged Iraqi people to preserve Iraq’s unity by renouncing differences and resorting to dialogue and to the constitution.
Both sides agreed on the importance of coordinating efforts in combating terrorism and terrorist organizations, which pose a threat to the whole region, especially as Iraq was able to eliminate ISIS through the sacrifices that the armed forces made and the help of friendly countries.
