Sheikh Hamoudi: Some parties seek to turn countries of the region into “weak and preoccupied” countries with internal problems
The First Deputy Speaker Sheikh Dr. Humam Hamoudi warned against parties who seek to turn countries of the region into “weak and preoccupied” countries with internal problems, and stressed the importance of facing the challenges and dealing with the current circumstances with greater seriousness and mutual cooperation among all countries.
Sheikh Hamoudi during a meeting with the Turkish ambassador, Fatih Yildiz, called for speeding up the withdrawal of Turkish military forces from Iraqi territory, stressing that the implementation of this step would strengthen relations between the two countries at various levels ensuring the stability of peoples through “joint and serious cooperation” without any party having any “unilateral” actions to impose their will on others.
For his part, Mr. Yildiz stressed his country’s keenness to support the unity and sovereignty of the country and the political process in Iraq, praising the positions of Sheikh Hamoudi in support of good and solid relations with neighboring countries.
