Sheikh Hamoudi: Iran’s revolution is model for free people and its support to Iraq is the most distinguished in the region

The First Deputy Speaker Sheikh Dr. Humam Hamoudi described the Revolution of the Islamic Republic as a “miracle under the circumstances in which the world was subject to the domination of major powers,” stressing the depth of the relationship between Iran and Iraq, calling on the countries of the region to improve their relationship with Iraq with the same confidence and excellence.
This came in a statement on the sidelines of his participation along with the leaders of the Supreme Council in the ceremony held by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad on the occasion of the anniversary of the Iranian revolution. Sheikh Hamoudi pointed out that the revolution was won by scholarly leadership and was able to continue to rely on its people despite the siege and progressed in all areas, until it became a wonderful model guided by the people of the world eager for freedom and dignity and rejection of hegemony and arrogance, noting that it is proud that the Zionists are terrified from them.
Hamoudi stressed that the relationship between Iraq and Iran is the most distinguished thanks to the positions of the Islamic Republic, which supported the people of Iraq in order to gain freedom, establish their democratic system, consolidate their unity and rid of the occupation. Noting that more than 3000 Iraqi students live in Iran, and that it supplies Iraq with gas and electricity and supported Iraq with experience and weapons in confronting ISIS.
