Sheikh Mohammed, British delegation discuss importance of strengthening bonds of cooperation between the two friendly peoples
Deputy Speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammed received today in his office a delegation from the British House of Commons headed by Mrs. Anne Claudia and members, Fabian Hamilton, Adam Holloway, Matthew Oford, Baroness Tessa Anne Fossper and Lord Hayward Ob. The delegation members expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Vice-President for his hospitality and discussed the developments of the political situation in Iraqi and what is happening now in the region.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two friendly peoples and enhancing bilateral relations at different levels between the two countries. They also discussed the need to solve outstanding problems and issues between the region and the center and the rights of all the components of the Iraqi people. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his happiness for the visit this high-level delegation and valued the United Kingdom’s positions on the issues of the region and continuous support and humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people and reconstruction of liberated areas.
For their part, the British delegation members confirmed the desire of the people and government to support for the Iraqi people and the readiness of the United Kingdom to provide the necessary assistance and contribute to the ongoing construction in the country and the reconstruction of areas affected by military operations against the terrorist organization.
