COR votes on 7 parliamentary resolutions and finishes reading 2 laws
In its 15th plenary session held on Tuesday March 27, 2018, the Iraqi Council of Representatives voted on 7 parliamentary resolutions and finished reading 2 laws.
The Council voted on a parliamentary resolution authorizing the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance to carry out the necessary transfers of emergency allocations to pay the risk allocations to the members of the voluntary fighters as from 1 January 2018.
The Council voted on the names of candidates for membership of the investigative committee regarding the events of Tuz Khurmato.
The COR voted on a parliamentary resolution in response to a request submitted by 50 lawmakers, including the formation of an investigative committee in which the accused the Ministry of Finance / Budget Directorate to deal selectively with the provinces with respect to the distribution of job grades in the Ministry of Electricity and other ministries.
The Council voted on a parliamentary resolution in response to a request submitted by the Legal Committee signed by 80 lawmakers, in which they called for full coordination between Ministry of Martyrs and Anfal Affairs in the Kurdistan Region with the institutions of martyrs and political prisoners in the federal government to unify the administrative and financial instructions and policies with the federal government and that the KRG and federal government should take legal action to implement the resolution.
The Council completed the vote on a parliamentary resolution obliging the border crossings commission to apply the agricultural calendar in respect of all agricultural products, including animal resources in all governorates.
The Council also voted on a parliamentary resolution considering the area of Al-Saadan and the districts of Kairouan and urban areas in the province of Nineveh as affected areas.
The Council completed the vote on a parliamentary resolution to cancel the financial penalty imposed on the loss of voter card in general and the cancellation of procedures for obtaining a new one.
The Council voted on the articles that were inadvertently dropped from the from the legislative proposal for the Rehabilitation of Inmates and Depositors law submitted by the Labor & Social Affairs and Human Rights Committees.
The Council completed the first reading of the legislative proposal for the first amendment to the law of Grants for Athletes and Pioneers No. (6) of 2013 submitted by the Committee of Youth and Sports.
The Council completed the first reading of the legislative proposal for the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning submitted by the Committee of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The session was then adjourned to Wednesday 28/3/2018 at 11:00 am.
