The Speaker, Minister of Interior Affairs discuss security situations and preparations for securing the elections

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met on Monday the Minister of Interior Affairs Mr. Qasim al-A’araji.
During the meeting, they discussed the developments of the security situation, the plans of the ministry to secure elections in the country, and its efforts to achieve security and stability in all governorates.
The Speaker stressed the importance of taking all measures and preparations for the upcoming elections and providing a stable environment electoral process, adding, “We hope all security agencies will assume responsibility, especially after the victories achieved against terrorist groups”.
The Speaker stressed the need to be vigilant and cautious to foil any attempt that aim at destabilizing the security of citizens and the stability of the country.
For his part, Mr. al-A’araji praised the keenness of the Speaker to follow up on everything related to the security of the Iraqi people and the country. He affirmed that the ministry had completed its preparations to secure the electoral process to be held on time as scheduled.
