Sheikh Mohammad media office denies media reports concerning statement attributed to him

Deputy Speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammad was quoted to have said: “the sit in of the MPs inside the building of the Council of Representatives is illegal and contradicts the MPs Code of Conduct”. We, Deputy Speaker’s media Office, assure that this statement is unfounded and have been sent from a false email address ([email protected]).

While we deny this statement altogether, Sheikh Mohammad confirms that MPs are the representatives of people who elected them and they should express people’s dissatisfaction with the government.

We reserve the right to resort to the judiciary to hold accountable whoever was involved in using forged email to send the statement.
