Sheikh Mohammad meets the German ambassador to Iraq

Deputy Speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammad met the German ambassador to Iraq Mr. Ekkehard Brose on Wednesday July 13, 2016. During the meeting, they discussed the latest security and political updates and the need for developing the bilateral relations between the two countries in economic, commercial and cultural fields.

Sheikh Mohammad added, “The country is going through a very difficult period due to the political and security problems, and we need continued support from the international community in fighting ISIS that threatens the security of the whole world. All parties should be prepared for the post ISIS era and ready to maintain the momentum of the stability of the areas taken by ISIS.”

For his part, Mr. Brose confirmed his country’s support to Iraq and its keenness on following up the developments of the Iraqi offensives against terrorist bandits and the progress and victories that have been achieved.
