Sheikh Mohammad: As representatives of people, we are vested with great responsibilities

Deputy Speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammad delivered a speech just before starting the session in which he pointed out that Iraq is going through a difficult phase due to the accumulation of problems and crises and the MPs have moral and legal obligations towards people.

Concerning what happened in the previous session, Sheikh Mohammed explained, “We, the board of presidency, emphasize the need to uncover the truth and reveal it to the Iraqi people we also intend to continue to hold sessions and legislate laws.”

Sheikh Mohammad urged the MPs to work cooperatively and called on the parliamentary Committees to present the draft laws that are ready to be enacted and prepare necessary reports and issues that are raised at the plenary sessions and affect the lives of the Iraqi people.
