The Speaker, Iraqi Turkmen Bloc discuss situation in Kirkuk

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met on Tuesday a delegation of the Members of the Turkmen bloc headed by MP Hassan Turan.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest security and political updates and the necessity to ratify the important laws that serve the Iraqi people. The Speaker urged the citizens of Kirkuk province to unite their efforts to preserve the social unity and to work together to foil attempts to destroy the social fabric of Iraqi society.  He also called for providing all possible assistance to the displaced people and work to facilitate their safe return to their cities.

Al-Jubouri lauded the Turkmen bloc’s role in challenging ISIS and supporting other denominations in Kirkuk.
