Sheikh Mohammed strongly condemns the abduction of journalist (Afrah Shawqi), and demands security authorities to bear the responsibility for protecting journalists.

Deputy Speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammed condemned in the strongest terms the abduction of journalist (Afrah Shawqi), and considered this incident a criminal encroachment on press, and the traditions and laws, and breach of a security of the capital that cannot be tolerated.
Sheikh Mohammed demanded the officials and security authorities to take responsibility and take action and measures to protect the lives of journalists, saying, “We must pursue criminals who did this awful act and expose those who stand behind them and clarify the circumstances of the incident and further the efforts to restore the kidnapped safely to her family.
