The Speaker: the parliament will not vote on a pay rise for MPS

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri stressed on Monday that the COR faces false allegations concerning a pay rise for the MPs.
He added that the COR is people’s voice and such allegations would not deter it from practicing its supervisory role.
He remarked that the COR will not vote on a pay rise while the Iraqi people face difficulties in securing a decent life for their families.
