Sheikh Mohammad condemns the Turkish bombing raids on Mount Sinjar

Deputy Speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammad condemned Turkey’s attack on civilians and Peshmerga in Sinjar and expressed his deep resentment the violation of Iraq’s national sovereignty, calling at the same time the federal government to summon the Turkish ambassador to Baghdad to hand him a protest note.
Sheikh Mohammad stated, “Turkey’s repeated attacks on Iraqi airspace is a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty and violates all international conventions and good-neighborly agreements and will negatively affect the bilateral relation between the two countries and will pave the way for further instability in the region especially as Iraq is waging a war against the terrorist organization of ISIS.
