The Speaker meets Palestine’s President and stresses “Palestinian question is the first Arab cause”

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in Amman the Palestinian President Mr. Mahmoud Abbas. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the recent developments in the Palestinian arena, wherein the Speaker stressed that the Palestinian question is the first Arab cause and the need to strengthen this cause and guarantee the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people as well as consolidating the internal efforts to meet the aspirations of the Palestinian and Arab people.
For his part, Mr. Abbas expressed his appreciation to the role of the Iraqi people in supporting the Palestinian cause throughout history.
The meeting was attended by Iraq’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ms. Safiya Al Suhail.
