The Speaker: Iraqis proved, throughout history, their ability to overcome crisis

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri stressed on Monday that Iraqis had proven throughout history their ability to overcome difficulties and crisis, pointing out that the current stage proved this after foiling terrorists’ attempts to o rip the Iraqi society apart.
During a celebration held by the Assyrian Democratic Movement in commemoration of the targeting of the Christian component in the Nineveh Plain, the Speaker remarked “the Parliament is keen to preserve the rights of all Iraqi components through legislations that achieve justice and equality”. He urged Iraqis to join hands and face any attempt that aim at tearing apart the social fabric of the Iraqi society.
