The Speaker meets head of National Alliance

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met in his office on Monday the head of National Alliance Mr. Ammar al-Hakim.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest security and political updates in Iraq and the region, where the Speaker stressed, “Iraq is at the dawn of new age after the recent victories that achieved in Mosul and therefore all stances should be unified to go in line with the requirements of the next phase”. He stated “new and great responsibilities are to be faced after these victories, represented by the reconstruction of the liberated areas and the return of the IDPs which are the most important requirements to implement national reconciliation that is called upon by all Iraqi components”.
“There is need for intensified dialogue among all political parties in order to reach an agreed upon draft for the Elections Law”, the Speaker sustained.
For his part, Mr. al-Hakim expressed his appreciation for the Speaker’s efforts in bringing views of Iraqi political parties closer to approve the important laws, especially the election law.
