The Speaker stresses importance of activating regional and international efforts to combat terrorism

The Speaker of, Dr. Saleem Al-Jubouri received in his office on Sunday, the Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Iraj Musjidi. During the meeting, they reviewed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region, bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them in various fields. The meeting also discussed combating the terrorist organization and the victories of the security forces. The speaker stressed the importance of the role of the countries in the region to achieve stability in Iraq by coordinating efforts to fight extremist groups. He pointed out that the next stage requires finding mechanisms to activate the regional and international efforts to fight terrorism in all its shapes. On his part, the Iranian ambassador affirmed his country’s support for Iraq and its readiness to cooperate in all fields.
