Sheikh Hamoudi: The timing of the referendum is “very bad” and we need to focus our efforts to salvage the remnants of ISIS
The First Deputy Speaker Sheikh Dr. Humam Hamoudi met a Belgian parliamentary delegation in his office today, and welcomed their “international proposals in support of Iraq’s unity, which are in line with the constitution and rejecting the partition of the country.” Sheikh Hamoudi praised the global trends towards “amending educational curricula” in some countries that support terrorism.
He continued during his talk on the subject of “referendum” that the timing of the referendum was “very bad” as all the efforts should be concentrated and unified to expel terrorists from their last stronghold in Iraq.
In turn, the Belgian delegation expressed their country’s readiness to strengthen relations with Iraq in all available fields, as well as activating the friendship committees and exchange of experiences, considering this as the basis for strengthening the full cooperation between the two countries, expressing their full support for the territorial integrity of Iraq and the stability and security of its people.
