The Speaker, Chairman of United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, discuss bilateral parliamentary relations

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met the Chairman of United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Mr. Ed Royce in Washington.
During the meeting, they reviewed the parliamentary relations between Iraq and the United States of America and means of strengthening them to ensure the interests of the two countries. They also discussed joint coordination in confronting terrorist organizations and Iraq’s efforts to achieve stability in the region.
The two sides agreed on the importance of developing parliamentary cooperation by opening new horizons between the two countries and benefiting from the experiences of the US Congress in the development and reconstruction fields to promote the country’s economy and its legislative institutions.
