The Speaker, ambassador of Turkey discuss bilateral relations

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met the ambassador of Turkey to Iraq Mr. Fateh Yaldiz. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the region and means of developing relations between the two countries to preserve the security and stability of the region and to further promoting trade and economic cooperation.
The Speaker stressed that Iraq is keen to strengthen its relations with Turkey in order to consolidate stability and create an atmosphere through which to promote commercial and investment cooperation and achieve the interests of the two neighboring peoples.
For his part, Yaldiz confirmed his country’s support to Iraq, particularly in the field of combating terrorism and stressed the importance of cooperation to overcome all problems and achieve lasting stability in the region.
