The Speaker meets delegation of dignitaries of Basra

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri received a delegation of the dignitaries of Basra province in the presence of MP Safa al-Ghanim.
During the meeting, they reviewed the service and security situations in the province and ways to raise the living standard of the citizens. He stressed the need to pay the security situation greater attention to promote stability in a way that ensures a dignified and safe life for citizens.
The Speaker remarked that greater attention should be paid to the economic sector in the province by encouraging investments and improving employment opportunities for the citizens of Basra.
For their part, the delegation members expressed their appreciation for the Speaker’s efforts to address the problems of the country and his keenness to achieve unity and stability through the adoption of important laws that serve the people.
