The Speaker to his Turkish Counterpart: Iraq is in need for turkey’s support in reconstructing the liberated areas

The Speaker Dr. Salem al-Jubouri met on Thursday with the Speaker of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Mr. İsmail Kahraman.
During the meeting, they discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the region and means of boosting bilateral cooperation at all levels.
Al-Jubouri stressed that Iraq is looking forward to the support of all friendly countries including Turkey in various files, especially the reconstruction of its liberated cities and the return of displaced people, adding that “the region faces great challenges that require concerted efforts and joint coordination to eliminate them and end extremist ideology which affected the security and stability of many countries.”
The speaker also stressed the importance of strengthening the joint coordination between the Iraqi and Turkish parliaments by exchanging expertise and developing skills and creating opportunities through which to achieve the interests of the two neighboring peoples.
For his part, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament appreciated the efforts of al-Jubouri in supporting the security and stability of the region, stressing his country’s keenness to support the Iraqi government and people in all fields.
