The Speaker meets OPEC Secretary General

The Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri met on Tuesday the OPEC Secretary General Mr. Mohammed Barkindo in the presence of the Iraqi Minister of Oil Mr. Jabbar al-Allaibi.
During the meeting, they discussed the challenges facing the oil markets and the future role of the Organization in preserving the interests of member countries and ways of reaching agreements that contribute to supporting oil production.
He also discussed the future of oil industry and the importance of the development of production. The Speaker stressed that Iraq supports the decision of the Organization to reduce oil production, pointing to the importance of enhancing coordination among member states in order to protect their interests.
