Sheikh Hamoudi urges Arab parliaments to play greater role in resolving regional conflicts

The First Deputy Speaker Sheikh Dr. Humam Hamoudi met with Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament and member of the executive office of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Ali Abdel Aal on the sidelines of the meetings of Dhaka today.

During the meeting, sheikh Hamoudi called the Arab parliaments to play greater role in resolving the regional conflicts, urging them to uniting efforts to combat ISIS “intellectually and militarily”.

For his part, Mr. Abel Aal confirmed that he sought to active the functions of the executive office of the Arab Group to go in line with the aspirations of the Arab parliaments and the interests of their peoples, adding “Iraq is the dam of the Arab nation from which we derive our strength”
